Sparkling Rose by French Bloom was found at all eating establishments and Explora did not miss a beat when it came to the cuisine. Everything about this statement exudes a full sensory experience. When EXPLORA first launched they had a ‘Club Soda’ on board as they recognized the discerning alcohol-free guest travels differently.

For our sailing, the ‘Club Soda’ program was temporarily suspended as they were making modifications. If you are alcohol-free you know not all bartenders have the ability to master an exquisite mocktail. Bartenders often go heavy on the syrups making drinks not so enjoyable. We did a little searching and found two mixologists who went above and beyond for our mocktail requests. Explora always has a mixologist on board who will deliver on the mocktail experience. Upon arrival, we recommend finding out who the af mixologists are so you can visit them as you like. We found Viswanath at the Conservatory pool bar and Rohit at the Explora Lounge to be outstanding!

Since our founder Darci Murray returned from her Panama to Barbados Explora Journeys sailing she was able to sit down with the sales and marketing leader for Explora. They both happened to be attending the Ensemble Summit in Phoenix which provided the perfect venue to discuss HOOKED’s alcohol-free experience on board EXPLORA 1. It was in this discussion we learned that EXPLORA has indeed launched changes to their ‘Club Soda’ program.

Explora now has the beverage manager onboard greet guests (provided they know in advance they are a alcohol-free traveler) to their offering onboard. They are working towards a workshop-style “come enjoy a mocktail with us” type of activity so that guests can be introduced to the offerings.

WOW! is all we have to say to the new and improved ‘Club Soda’ offering. When we were on board the spirits offered were only the Ovant and now they have Seedlip and Ceders! We can’t wait to get back on board with Explora and share the new alcohol-free developments on EXPLORA. Who knows our HOOKED members may see a group cruise option soon!
